Our puppy classes are designed to provide yo and your puppy with essential skills and knowledge, emphasizing confidence- building, well being, and fostering a strong bond and clear communication between you and your pet. Whether your puppy is playful or shy, our classes cater to all personalities and breeds!

Socialisation Opportunities
Puppies are naturally curious and social creatures. Our preschool classes provide a safe and controlled environment where your puppy can interact with other dogs and people, helping them develop essential social skills.
Handling Skills & Vet Visits
Many dogs find vet visits stressful. We will show you how to handle and prepare your puppy for vet visits so they are a positive experience for everyone, as well as giving you the skills to be able to continue at these activities at home to ensure reduced stress for both you and your dog, improved quality of care, and enhanced overall well-being for your pet.
Basic Training Skills
In our classes, your puppy will learn essential skills designed to improve your communication and therefore your bond with your puppy. Skills will include such as sit, lie down, leave it, recall, wait, lead walking and many more. Information will also be provided on the most vital questions such as toilet training, mouthing/biting/chewing, barking, socialisation, and mat and crate training.
Fun and Engaging Activities
We incorporate a variety of games and activities to keep your puppy engaged and excited about learning. Our goal is to make training a positive experience for both you and your puppy!
Class Details:
- Age Requirement: Puppies aged 8 to 14 weeks
- Vaccinations: Puppies must have had their first vaccination
- Duration: 4 week program, 1 hour per session
- Location: Cottage Veterinary Clinic
- Cost: €95 per puppy or €75 if your pup is on our Pet Health Plan
What to Bring:
- Your puppy’s favourite treats
- A collar/harness and lead
- Any necessary vaccination records
